TrustID engaged as service provider

To improve further the efficiency, speed and reliability of the process of checking and verifying the identity of clients prior to any document being notarised, I have recently engaged TrustID as a service provider.
About TrustID
- TrustID are a certified Identity Service Provider (IDSP), supporting over 3,000 customers, validating approximately 300,000 identity documents each month.
- They are ISO27001, ISO9001 and CE Plus certified.
- With ID Validation at the heart of everything they do, TrustID is supporting me with a variety of ID verification , KYC/AML, sanctions and political exposure checks.
Identity Validation
- Using their Identity Validation service, I am able to check identity documents whether on the move or from my desk back in the office, by accessing the TrustID portal on a smartphone/tablet/PC/laptop.
- Checks all Passports, ID cards, Visas, Driving Licences and Biometric Residence Permits. Can be used to check both copies and original documents.
- Their Expert ID Validation Service is also available, where any ID Document can be sent to their expert Document Analyst team for validation.
Process
- There are two methods of validating documents in their Cloud service:
- Via Guestlink: I would send an email to the client, which contains a link to be opened on their smartphone or tablet, allowing them to capture and upload their document. My client can upload documents at any time, along with a live face scan so that TrustID can capture Facial Biometrics to match them to their document. These images are then sent to TrustID for validation and the results are sent back to me.
- Via Manual Upload: I am able to upload copies of documents received from clients for validation. There is no facial biometric and liveness matching the candidate to their document, and I will need to confirm that the client matches the person in the document (yes, no or person not seen). I can also use a smartphone/tablet in this way to capture images of documents and submit them for validation if a client is presenting documents in-person.
Response & Support
- Clear, easy to read Document Validation Reports, with results returning to the web portal within 2 business hours of document submission (8am-Midnight, 365 days a year).
- Unique combination of Identity Document Validation Technology (IDVT) backed up by their UK-based team of document analysts and compliance experts.
- Customer Service and Document Analyst support available from 8am-Midnight, 365 days a year, to provide definitive responses to the outcomes of my checks.
- Results are stored on the TrustID portal for 7 days, after which they are automatically deleted. I would download the PDF reports during this period and they would be stored in accordance with my published data privacy policy.
